*Winter Weather Storm Advisory* (City Hall closed - 01/22/2025)

City of Loris administrative offices and facilities will close at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, and remain closed through Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, due to an approaching Winter Storm. Normal City operations are currently anticipated to resume on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, subject to forecast changes.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions for our area and will inform the public of changes in the forecast for inclement weather. Community members are encouraged to stay weather-aware.
In anticipation of possible impacts on the area, the City of Loris reminds all citizens to take steps to prepare their households and neighborhoods:
- Check on friends, family, and neighbors.
- Ensure electronic devices are charged in advance of the arrival of the lowest temperatures and winter precipitation.
- Have nonperishable food and water on hand.
- Check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
- Follow all safety instructions for proper use of generators and alternative heating sources, should you need them.
- Stay off roads once winter precipitation starts falling.
- Continue to monitor forecasts.
